No home in the store was right: the mobile home Luiz chose on video and received in Sintra

By Matheus Agueda · 3 November 2026

In short: in April 2024 we delivered a cream-and-green mobile home to Luiz in Almargem do Bispo, in the municipality of Sintra, near Lisbon. Luiz went to the Green Village store, looked at the homes on display and none of them won him over; he then chose a home from the catalogue abroad, from photos and videos, and ordered it. The plot, on a hillside, made this one of the hardest deliveries the team had done, Matheus said in the video filmed that day.

No home in the store was right

Luiz went to the Green Village store, met the agents and saw the models on display. None of them appealed to him. The team then showed him the catalogue of homes in the United Kingdom and other countries, and that is where Luiz found his: he chose it from photos and videos and bought it to order. That is what happens when the right home is not in the store: the search moves abroad, and the client sees the home before deciding.

One of the hardest deliveries

Luiz’s plot is on a hillside, with a tight approach between houses and walls. In the gallery, the home passes right beside a pink house before reaching its spot. “It’s a very difficult delivery, one of the most difficult we’ve ever done,” Matheus says in the video, filmed on the plot with the home arriving behind him (translated from Portuguese). The team needed extra equipment, “always so that everything goes right”.

In the end, the home was set down on the gravel. “But thank God everything is fine, we’re finishing the delivery, the client is happy,” Matheus says as the video closes. The last photo of this route in the gallery is the key being handed to Luiz at the door of his new home.

What stayed with the client

Green Village does not install homes: the mobile home is delivered and set down on its supports, without levelling. These always stay with the buyer:

  • the base and the levelling — here, the gravel base on Luiz’s plot;
  • the water, waste, gas and electricity connections;
  • any licences the municipality requires for the plot.

What this delivery teaches

  1. If the right home is not in the store, it can come from abroad. Luiz chose his from the catalogue of homes abroad, from photos and videos.
  2. Visiting the store helps you decide. Luiz saw the models on display before choosing a different home from the catalogue.
  3. A difficult plot does not rule out delivery, but it has to be seen first. A hillside with a tight approach needs more equipment on the day; the sooner the access is known, the better.
  4. The base is ready before the home arrives. Luiz’s home was set down on the gravel of his plot.
  5. Know what warranty the home has. A used home carries an 18-month legal guarantee, with no commercial warranty; a new home has the 3-year legal guarantee and a 10-year commercial warranty on the structure and against water ingress.

Other deliveries

In the same month of April 2024, Zé Pedro’s 2002 Atlas reached Viade de Baixo, in Montalegre, and two English homes reached Ovar, for Alexandra and Rafael; in June, a used English home reached Funchal, for Rosa. Further north, in August 2025, a used Atlas Mirage reached Óbidos, for Márcio. Across the Tagus, in July 2024, a Pemberton Mystique reached Palmela, for Mónica. Delivered prices in the area, and what to know before buying, are in the guide to mobile homes in Lisbon. Photos of this home and of other deliveries, from origin to plot, are in the gallery.
