Where to buy a mobile home in Portugal or Spain: sellers compared

By Matheus Agueda · 8 October 2026

If you live in the UK or Ireland and are looking for a mobile home in Portugal or Spain, the sellers you will come across work in quite different ways. Some are UK-based companies that sell homes sited on parks abroad; some list homes on gated sites in the Alentejo; one is a dealer with a showroom in the Algarve; and Green Village sells units from an online catalogue and installs them at the buyer's destination. This guide sets out what each seller declares on its own website, so that you can compare them by what you need.

How to compare sellers

Run through the same questions with every seller before you choose:

  • Where the home will stand. Decide whether you want a home on a park or a residential site, where the plot may be leased, or a unit installed at a destination of your own.
  • New, resale or reconditioned. Check which the seller offers, and what it says it does to used units before sale.
  • What the price includes. Ask whether delivery, installation and connection to services are included.
  • Insurance during transport. Ask whether the unit is insured from collection to installation, and for what share of its value.
  • Finance. If you need credit, check the term, the rate and who approves it.
  • A written quote. Ask for a written quote that names the unit and the destination.
  • Seeing units in person. Check where the showroom or showground is, and whether visits are by appointment.
  • Language. Make sure the website and the documents you sign are in a language you read.
