Green Village Mobile Homes
Green Village on RTP1’s Telejornal
On 9 March 2025, Telejornal, the evening news of Portugal’s public broadcaster RTP1, aired the report «Habitações em aço leve e pré-fabricadas ganham espaço em Portugal» (“Light-steel and prefabricated homes gain ground in Portugal”, 3 min 29 s). The report shows how prices and the shortage of homes are leading more and more people in Portugal to look at prefabricated and light-steel homes. Green Village Mobile Homes appears as an example of a company selling used mobile homes in Porto, brought from France, England and the Netherlands, and its founder, Matheus Agueda, is interviewed.

What the founder said
Matheus Agueda, captioned in the report as «Grupo Green Village», explains why more and more customers choose a mobile home. In Portuguese, followed by our translation:
«A pessoa prefere uma solução de uma casa como essa porque vai poder ter um terreno, vai poder ter um espaço, uma área de convívio. Acaba que é melhor do que um apartamento, muitas das vezes, porque vai ter uma área, às vezes, pro filho, pra criança poder brincar, externa também. Então a pessoa hoje opta principalmente pra sair do aluguel. O meu cliente que vem hoje aqui é buscando a fuga dos aluguéis. Essa é a grande realidade.»Our translation: «People prefer a home like this because they can have a plot of land, a space of their own, somewhere to spend time together. Often it works out better than an apartment, because sometimes there is an area for the son, for the child to play, outdoors too. So today people choose it mainly to stop renting. The customer who comes here today is looking to escape rent. That is the reality.»
