Green Village in JM Madeira: arriving on the island and the first customer
On 20 August 2024, JM Madeira (Jornal da Madeira), the daily of the Portuguese island of Madeira, published two pieces by Bruna Nóbrega about Green Village in its special edition «Imobiliário & Reabilitação Urbana» (real estate and urban renewal): «Empresa de casas móveis 'ganha terreno' na Madeira» (“Mobile home company ‘gains ground’ in Madeira”), on the company’s arrival on the island, and «Muitos carros param aqui para ver a casa» (“Lots of cars stop here to look at the house”), on Green Village’s first customer in Madeira, in Funchal, who bought her home remotely.

What the founder said
Matheus Agueda told the JM about Madeira’s interest in the online catalogue. Of the homes from England, he said they offer a «tamanho maior e são mais viáveis» (“a larger size and are more viable”) for anyone looking for a permanent home. In Portuguese, followed by our translation:

The first customer in Madeira
Green Village’s first customer in Madeira lives in Funchal and bought her home remotely in May 2024. She told the JM:
«Muitos carros param aqui para ver a casa. Param constantemente. Muita gente também já me bateu à porta a perguntar sobre a casa. E tiram fotografias»Our translation: «Lots of cars stop here to look at the house. They stop all the time. Lots of people have also knocked on my door to ask about the house. And they take photos»

A second customer
On the same page, a second customer, from Câmara de Lobos, who found Green Village through TikTok, explained why she chose it:

«bastante acessível, muito prático, pouco burocrático»Our translation: «quite affordable, very practical, not much red tape»

- The 2024 prices and timings the JM quoted are not today’s: the current price of each home is in the catalogue, with VAT shown separately.
- Green Village delivers to Madeira and the Azores, mainland Portugal, Spain, France and other European countries.
- Transport is organised by Mobile Home Logistic, included in the price and insured at 100 % of the home’s value.
- The land, its preparation and the water, electricity and drainage supplies are the owner’s responsibility.
