Louisiane is a Breton maker of mobile homes, based in Loudéac in the Côtes-d'Armor since 1998. The brand belongs to a group that brings together several makers of outdoor accommodation, and it builds for campsites as well as for private owners.
Its latest catalogues were organised in ranges: Taos, built as the S2, F4, D4, F5 and F6; All Kompact; Vacances, which grouped one-, two- and three-bedroom models (Bora, Savanah, Océane, Grand Large, Méditerranée, Tamaris, Corail…); and Déclik, open to the outdoors or with an integrated terrace.

What to check on a used Louisiane
The name alone is not enough: a Taos exists as the S2, F4, D4, F5 and F6, and a Grand Large with two or three bedrooms. Check the exact version, the dimensions and the year on the manufacturer's plate and the original invoice.
Check the chassis for corrosion, the floor for soft spots near the shower room and the doors, the roof and the window seals; on models with an integrated terrace, also look at the terrace floor and its cover.
Have the gas installation, the water heater and the electrics inspected, and ask for the maintenance records.
For use out of season, insulation, double glazing and heating count for more than floor area: compare them from one model to another before you choose.
