O'Hara is a French maker of mobile homes that organises its offer in three ranges: the residential range, for private owners; the rental range, for campsites; and Key West, a collection of upmarket leisure homes.

The brand puts insulation first: by doubling its standard insulation, it quotes a thermal resistance of 2.46 m²·K/W in the floor (100 mm of glass wool) and 4.78 m²·K/W in the roof (200 mm), made possible by a flat ceiling. Its current models carry numbers (804, 1175…) rather than names.

O'Hara models

O'Hara O'Phea
An earlier range of the brand, documented on the maker's website from the mid-2000s; today it is found second-hand with two and three bedrooms.
O'Hara 804
A two-bedroom model from the rental range: a lounge that converts into a third bedroom with the optional dividing curtain, a built-in L-shaped kitchen and a large shower room with a 100 × 80 cm shower tray.
O'Hara 1175
A three-bedroom, 50 m² model designed for people with reduced mobility (turning areas, openings of at least 83 cm, a large shower room with a floor-level shower tray), developed with the FNHPA and the Passerelles network.
O'Hara Key West
A collection of four models inspired by the Hatha concept: 100 mm of insulation in the floor, 200 mm in the roof and 80 mm in the walls, a mono-pitch roof, larger windows and cladding in natural or wood-effect tones. On the three-bedroom version, the main bedroom opens straight onto the terrace.

What to check on a used O'Hara

Identify the model and the year on the manufacturer's plate and the original invoice: an O'Phea from the 2000s and a recent model with reinforced insulation do not offer the same comfort out of season.

Ask whether the home has the Hatha package (four-season glazing, adapted ventilation, pre-fitting for a heat pump): it is designed for use in every season.

Check the chassis, the floor (soft spots near the shower room and the doors), the roof and the window seals, and have the gas or electrical installation and the water heater inspected.
