From the Vigo store to Amarante: delivering Paulo’s used Tudor mobile home

By Matheus Agueda · 2 November 2026

In short: in early May 2026 we delivered a used Tudor mobile home to Paulo in Amarante, in northern Portugal; he had seen it and chosen it at the Green Village store in Vigo. It is a two-bedroom, English-standard home of about 40 m² that, according to the sale record, came from the Netherlands. The work on site took about one to two hours and the home was set down on its supports where the client wanted it; the base, the levelling and the connections stayed with the client. The delivery video shows every step.

How Paulo found this home

Paulo found Green Village on social media and talked to one of our consultants on WhatsApp. Rather than choose from photos alone, he came to the Green Village store in Vigo to see the homes in stock and took this Tudor: cream, with a soft green band all the way round and a bay front with one wide window. The contract was signed at the end of April 2026 and the home was delivered in early May, to an industrial site in Amarante.

An English home has different plugs and pipe sizes from Portuguese ones, so it needs adapters or adapted connections. With more than 20 years of use, it may need small repairs and should get a full check of gas, electrics and plumbing on arrival.

What we checked before unloading

Before unloading, Matheus Agueda, founder of Green Village, walks the chassis on camera (from 1:29 in the video):

  • Chassis and support points: the legs and the points marked «support point», where blocks or timber are placed to level the home on site.
  • Gas: the pipework that comes with the home.
  • Water: the inlet, with a hose adapter.
  • Sewage: the outlet under the home.
  • Wheels: in good condition here, which is not always the case on older homes.

Transport and site access

Transport from Vigo to Amarante was organised by Mobile Home Logistic, the partner logistics company of the same group, insured to 100 % and included in the price of the home. When access to a plot is difficult, a site visit assesses whether extra support or a road closure is needed; that cost is set at the visit and is the client’s. In Amarante neither was needed.

Arrival on site

On the way to the chosen spot, the home passed through two gates, between wires, trees and a short slope. The work on site took about one to two hours, and the home was set down on its supports where the client chose (from 28:55 in the video).

What stayed with the client

Green Village does not install homes: a mobile home is delivered and set down on its supports, without levelling. The buyer takes care of:

  • the base the home stands on and the levelling, with blocks or timber at the support points;
  • the water, sewage, gas and electricity connections, with the adapters an English home needs;
  • the full check on arrival and any licence the municipality requires for the plot.

What this delivery teaches a used-home buyer

  1. See the home in person or on real video. Paulo saw it at the store; buyers who order an import choose from real videos and photos of the home in its country of origin.
  2. Confirm access before delivery. Gates, wires, trees and slopes decide whether the delivery needs extra support.
  3. Plan for the check and the adapters. A used English home needs its gas, electrics and plumbing checked and its plugs and pipes adapted.
  4. Know what warranty it has. A used home has no commercial warranty and carries an 18-month legal guarantee; a new home carries the 3-year legal guarantee plus a 10-year commercial warranty on the structure and against water ingress.

What came next

After this delivery, Paulo asked Green Village to help him choose two more homes, this time as imports. That is how Fernando bought the Willerby Salisbury he received in Santiago do Cacém: chosen in the UK, from real photos and videos of the home. Anyone who wants to do the same can browse the used mobile homes in stock, delivered in mainland Portugal from €12,550, and see deliveries across the country in the guide to mobile homes in Portugal. Further north, in December 2024, a used Salisbury reached Guimarães, for Adriana. Photos of other deliveries, from origin to plot, are in the gallery.

Frequently asked questions

How long did the work on site take? About one to two hours, from arrival until the home was set down where the client chose, through two gates, wires, trees and a short slope.

Did Green Village level and connect the home? No. The home was set down on its supports; the base, the levelling and the water, sewage, gas and electricity connections are the buyer’s.

Where did this home come from? It was at the Green Village store in Vigo; according to the sale record, it came from the Netherlands. It is an English-standard Tudor, so its plugs and pipework need adapters.

Does a used home like this have a warranty? It has no commercial warranty; it carries an 18-month legal guarantee. New homes carry a 10-year commercial warranty on the structure and against water ingress.

Can I buy a home that is still in its country of origin? Yes. Most purchases are imports, chosen from real videos and photos of the home at the supplier; transport to the plot is handled by Mobile Home Logistic.
