What Catskill Mt. Cabins states on its website
According to its website, Catskill Mt. Cabins sells modular log cabins. The FAQ page explains that today's modular homes are essentially stick-built homes constructed in a factory and delivered to the building lot, and states: «Catskill Mt. Cabins feature log siding instead of solid log construction.»
The construction details page lists 2x6 exterior walls with studs 16 inches on centre, White Pine tongue and groove log siding with two coats of exterior sealer applied in the factory, R-21 wall insulation and R-49 ceiling insulation, and dead bolts as standard on all exterior doors. The site preparation page lists the package as a complete exterior with log siding, double-pane insulated vinyl windows with shutters, and insulated walls and ceilings with a knotty pine interior, and says there are still a number of things the buyer is responsible for completing.
