Chalet: timber-framed construction, alpine or Nordic aesthetic. More compact than a lodge, popular in France and Central Europe.
Glamping Pod vs Tiny House
Glamping pod: compact structure (4–8m), curved or cylindrical design. Tourism-oriented, accessible investment.
Tiny house: full miniature dwelling, often on wheels. Part of the tiny living movement, optional off-grid capability.

5. Origins and Destinations
The catalogue's mobile homes come mainly from the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Belgium and France and are delivered to Green Village's 17 destinations. On every corridor, transport is included in the delivered price.
| Corridor | Origin | Destination | Transport |
|---|---|---|---|
| UK – Portugal | United Kingdom | Portugal | Included in the price |
| UK – Spain | United Kingdom | Spain | Included in the price |
| NL/BE – France | Netherlands / Belgium | France | Included in the price |
| Europe – Brazil | United Kingdom / Netherlands | Brazil | Included in the price |
UK – Portugal Corridor
Main sourcing route. The United Kingdom is one of Europe's largest markets for used mobile homes. Delivery and installation on the plot are included in the final price.
NL/BE – France Corridor
Units from the Netherlands and Belgium. France is one of Europe's largest markets for new mobile homes. Transport included in the final price.
Europe – Brazil Corridor
Units from the United Kingdom and the Netherlands, priced in reais with transport and import taxes already included. MERCOSUL–EU Agreement (since 1 May 2026): category 10, progressive tariff reduction.
6. Customs Regulations
Importing mobile homes involves specific customs documentation that varies by country of origin and destination. Green Village handles all documentation as part of its integrated service.
| Origin | What we handle | Import duties |
|---|---|---|
| United Kingdom | Customs clearance on entry into the EU | Included in the delivered price |
| EU countries | No customs (single market) | Not applicable |
| Europe → Brazil | Customs clearance in Brazil through Green Village's Brazilian company | Included in the price in reais |
UK to EU (post-Brexit)
Since Brexit (2021), units from the UK go through customs on entry into the EU. We handle customs clearance, and import duties are already included in the Green Village delivered price; the destination country's VAT applies on entry.
Intra-EU
Transport between EU countries does not require customs clearance. VAT follows distance selling rules or B2B reverse charge.
EU to Brazil
MERCOSUL–EU Agreement (Cat. 10, progressive tariff reduction since 1 May 2026). Green Village handles customs clearance through its Brazilian company — the client doesn't need their own registration.
Green Village handles customs clearance and the complete documentation under its own EORI — the customer does not have to handle any of it.
7. Taxation and VAT
VAT rates vary significantly across European countries. Green Village calculates the applicable VAT based on the delivery country and the buyer's profile (private individual vs business).
| Country | Standard VAT | Currency | Number Format | Date Format |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Portugal | 23% | EUR | 1.234,56 | dd/MM/yyyy |
| Spain | 21% | EUR | 1.234,56 | dd/MM/yyyy |
| France | 20% | EUR | 1 234,56 | dd/MM/yyyy |
| Netherlands | 21% | EUR | 1.234,56 | dd-MM-yyyy |
| Germany | 19% | EUR | 1.234,56 | dd.MM.yyyy |
| United Kingdom | 20% | GBP | 1,234.56 | dd/MM/yyyy |
| Italy | 22% | EUR | 1.234,56 | dd/MM/yyyy |
| Brazil | ICMS + IPI + II (variable) | BRL | 1.234,56 | dd/MM/yyyy |
Import VAT
When importing into the EU, VAT is calculated on the customs value (price of the goods + transport + insurance + customs duties). Customs duties on UK units are already included in the final price, and the destination country's VAT applies in full on that value.
Intra-EU B2B Sales
Sales between VAT-registered businesses in different EU countries benefit from the reverse charge mechanism (VAT = 0% on the invoice, buyer self-assesses in the destination country). A valid intra-Community VAT number (VIES) is required.
8. Pricing and Transparency
The final price of a mobile home depends on multiple factors. Green Village practises full price transparency: the price shown for each destination country already includes the unit and transport; for destinations outside that list, transport is quoted case by case.
