The Galician mobile home market is growing, with demand for rural tourism, second homes, and affordable housing.
Przepisy
In Galicia, mobile homes are regulated by Law 7/2011 on Galician Tourism. Since Supreme Court ruling 1917/2024, every mobile home needs a planning licence like a prefabricated house (art. 11.4.c of the Ley de Suelo), campsites included: the campsite's tourism licence alone is not enough. On private land, a municipal licence under the PXOM (Plan Xeral de Ordenacion Municipal) is required. VAT is 21%. Galicia does not have a regional tourist tax.
Transport
Transport to Galicia from Portugal is the simplest and most economical of any Spanish destination. Transport is organised by Mobile Home Logistic, Green Village's logistics division, and is included in the delivered price. The proximity even allows clients to visit the Green Village showroom in Porto/Maia before purchasing.
Ceny
Prices in Galicia are competitive: used from 12 943 euros, new from 30,000 euros. The total installed cost in Galicia is very attractive given the low transport costs. Rural land in the Rias Baixas costs between 20,000 and 60,000 euros. In the Galician interior (Ourense, Lugo), land is among the cheapest in Spain.
Montaż
The Atlantic climate of Galicia (similar to Northern Portugal) requires BS 3632 insulation and reinforced ventilation. Humidity is high, especially on the coast. Supports must protect the chassis from corrosion. Green Village recommends anti-corrosion treatment and ventilated skirting for installations in Galicia.
